Choosing the right system

Before quoting we work out block loads floor by floor and compare VRF, ducted split and chilled water options on capital cost, running cost and the space actually available for plant. Offices with long vacant hours usually favour VRF; hotels, hospitals and large retail floors normally justify a chiller plant with AHUs.

Ducting, piping and plant room

GI ducting is fabricated to SMACNA gauges, insulated and supported at fixed spacing, with diffusers and grilles positioned for even throw rather than convenience. Refrigerant and chilled water piping is pressure-tested and vacuum-dried before charging, and AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers and pumps are aligned and levelled during erection.

Testing, adjusting and balancing

Air and water balancing is the step that decides whether occupants feel comfortable. We measure airflow at every outlet, balance branches to design, verify approach temperatures on coils and hand over a TAB report with the as-built drawings so the facility team can hold the system to those numbers later.
